I found these stunning strands of ancient Roman glass at the African Village market at the Tucson Gem Show and have been hoarding them away. I paired them simply with chain links and Freshwater Pearl geometric drops. Truly one of kind extra special earrings!
Roman glass is really something special. Produced approximately 2000 years ago these pieces of glass were most likely everyday household objects like drinking vessels, vases and urns. Most of the pieces found are smaller fragments bearing a patina that has developed over hundreds of years while buried in mineral rich soil that causes chemical reactions.
